It appears that Avira (at least the free version) has been updated to a new version -

I was notified that a revision (9 ?) was now available with improved functions - I have not yet fully looked into it as I am not sure if it is a new full AV search engine or just a small data base update - I installed it anyway just in case but can see no obvious changes to it -
