Hi,

I uninstalled MBAM this morning. After restarting Vista each time, there is a window that pops up that states: "Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware" "Error code: 707(3,0)"

How can I completely uinstall MBAM? I had to rename MBAM on another computer before I could use it. So, the renamed file is still on the system.

Am I missing something?

Thanks

Hi,

I tried that earlier. I receive an error message that states: "Error" "SHGetValuge Failed with error code 0"

Thanks for your reply.

Please reinstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware then follow the instructions in this post, only skipping the part where you reinstall Malwarebytes' if you no longer wish to have it installed.

Please post back with your results.

Before reinstalling MBAM, I tried something else. I moved the renamed main program file for MBAM and the log file to a different folder and deleted the MBAM folder. Now when I start Vista there is no error message. (I had renamed the program because whatever virus there was on the system was deleting the MBAM.exe file upon installation.)

Does that make sense?

Thanks

Error code 707 means: Error during enumeration of languages.

Normally the fix would be as follows:

QUOTE
Please uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, restart your computer, run the utility at the following link, restart your computer again, and then reinstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware.
http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam-clean.exe

If you need to download a fresh copy, then please download and install from the following link:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam/program/mbam-setup.exe

In your case, you were probably seeing the error on startup due to the startup bug, and probably need to apply the fix for that, as well as fix the languages issue.
