Since last update to Malwarebytes Mail Washer will not open now, it is blocked. It started on our Vista Premium and XP Pro Machines immediately after updating Malwarebytes.

Hi.

What's blocking it? I'm running MWP as well with no issues what so ever.

It asked me to stop protection, ignore or QURANTINE on the Malware bytes Alert. I ignored it and it shows a Trogan something is in the Ignore list. This came up with both the XP Pro Screen and the Vista Premium PCs

I just got it again on the Vista, it states when I try to open MailWasher that it has detected a mallicous process is attempting to start and it is blocking all access to MW. Then it asks me what do I want to do. Disable, Ignore or Quarantine?

We updated our Malwarebytes and now it is blocking our Mailwasher 6.53. Any thoughts, it started immediately after the update.

Thank you for your help. PA.Dutchman

I just upgraded Mailwasher and I'm not being blocked, but Malwarebytes is now reporting 2 infections of trojan.VkHost in the mailprefs.dll file.

What's going on?

I haven't had to do it once I picked ignore so I am having trouble getting the log for you.

But another individual on MS got the posting right it gave this as a threat from MW

trojan.VkHost in the mailprefs.dll file.

This was corrected, please update. If it still detected the new update may not have been pushed out yet.

Malwarebytes is one of two programs I would recommend to my family and very best friends. Mail Washer is the other.

I thank my dear friends at Smart Computing for the day they recommend we purchase BOTH OF THESE OUTSTANDING PROGRAMS!! PA.Dutchman
