You most definitely do not want to delete the registry itself, as the registry is the one place that most of Windows and many programs store their settings. Without it, you'll be unable to boot.

I think you might be referring to deleting a registry key - and the same question applies - are you *really* sure that you want to?

A better question from you, gaurav, would probably be to ask if what you want to do (whether a friend told you or else if you read it somewhere) is a good thing to do in the first place.
