Yup, using the latest here (KAV) and so far things are GREAT! I'm surprised, this build is actually FASTER than the previous one (which was darn fast) and they added to the capabilities of the emulator and heuristics. The UI is still not as intuitive as I'd like, but I'm used to it already.
Yeah, much quicker and lower on resources. They seem to have responded to Norton's improvements in this respect, maybe the era of 'bloat' is over (tell that to Mcafee). Don't ya thing the gui is a bit ...er..rogue..ish? 
Yeah, but most "high end" AV's are rogueish looking these days cuz it's all about being pretty 
. Norton's a good example, so is Trend. Of course, it all started with rogues imitating legitimate software (Winantivirus looks just like TM in the gui). As far as resources, Kaspersky generally was (and always claimed to be) one of the lightest AV's, but 7 had its issues for sure. I was much happier with 8 (2009) when it came out. And so far 2010 hasn't been a disappointment at all. It plays nice with my other software and browsing large directories of various filetypes is even snappier than it was with 8

KIS 2010 so far is great. Definately is less stress on the system and performs well!. Also, it determines application's security status before I install it. And the Kaspersky Security Network makes detection times more than excellent!
