Hi,

I received the following this morning through Spybot Search & Destroy Tea Timer:

Spybot Search & Destroy has detected an important registry entry that has been changed.

Category: System Startup global entry
Change: Key deleted
Entry: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

old data: Malwarebytes Anti-Maleware
new data: (The new data space is blank)

I think I should choose:
Remember this decision
and click the - "Deny Change" Button
but am unsure - so far I have not selected a decision.

Question: Should I allow it to run on system startup through Tea Timer?

I would think Malwarebytes would need to run at startup - but not sure as it is the free version.
Malwarebytes found no spyware on the computer.
I have used Malwarebytes on others computers that were infected - and have had great results!

Hope I posted in the correct place.

Thank You,

If you had just installed Malwarebytes' before this and rebooted for the first time when this happened then this is normal. It adds a startup entry under the RunOnce key in the registry, but it doesn't really need to run as this entry is for the Paid version, so you can allow it to remove the entry as this is normal behavior for the free version.
