Marcin Kleczynski

Chief Executive Officer

Marcin Kleczynski is the founder and CEO of Malwarebytes. He created Malwarebytes Anti-Malware to address the alarming amounts of malicious threats that were slipping by most major security vendors undetected. The company incorporated in 2008 and holds strong to Marcin’s original belief that all users have the right to a malware-free existence.

Today, he leads the strategic expansion of the business as well as overseeing the long term vision for the research and development teams.

Marcin attended the University of Illinois, where he majored in Computer Science.

Marcus Chung

Chief Operating Officer

Marcus Chung serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Malwarebytes. He brings a wealth of security, e-commerce, operational and corporate development experience to the company, having previously held senior positions at several successful start-up companies which were acquired by multi-national technology organizations. Marcus’s time at businesses such as Sygate, which was acquired by Symantec, and GreenBorder, which was acquired by Google, is helping to shape Malwarebytes’ business strategy and direction. This approach has allowed an agile and innovative company to take a commanding leadership position within a highly competitive worldwide security marketplace.

Marcus graduated with a degree in Psychology and Biology from UCLA.

Doug Swanson

VP of Development

Doug Swanson is the Vice President of Development at Malwarebytes. Along with CEO and founder Marcin Kleczynski, Doug got his start in online anti-malware communities, helping to keep the malware forces of darkness at bay. He joined Malwarebytes in 2008 and built most of the original technology in Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, including the core scanning engine, kernel-level detection and removal technology, and the realtime protection module. Doug currently manages all client development at Malwarebytes and supervises the ever-growing development team.

Doug holds a B.S. in Physics from Yale University, and an M.S. in Physics from Princeton University.

Bruce Harrison

VP of Research

Bruce joined Malwarebytes in 2008 after his insightful malware expertise was displayed on a range of online security forums and direct experience as a computer technician. As Vice President of Research, Bruce now manages a team of handpicked security experts and researchers that span across the globe to ensure Malwarebytes Anti-Malware continues to offer industry leading protection against the latest and most advanced threats.

Robert Hafner

VP of Information Technology

Robert Hafner is the Vice President of Information Technology at Malwarebytes. He brings a wealth of experience within the sector and ensures Operations are running smoothly day in and day out. He is responsible for all server side development, including the design and maintenance of the infrastructure, statistics, analytics and research platforms. He previously cofounded SolunaNet, a development operations firm which focused on secure and scalable development.

Robert attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Terry Fleming

VP of Sales

Terry Fleming is a Senior Management Executive at Malwarebytes. He brings a successful track record in building, mentoring, and sustaining successful sale teams as well as creating long-lasting strategic relationships with key partners and suppliers to the company. He was most recently at Panda Security where he was Director of U.S Retail Sales and also held senior management positions at Webroot.

Terry graduated top of his class at the Computer Learning Center in Chicago.

Fernando Francisco

Managing Director, EMEA

Fernando Francisco serves as EMEA Managing Director at Malwarebytes where he leads the company’s European operations. He brings a broad range of security industry experience, having worked for companies such as F-Secure, Lavasoft, Prevx and Returnil. At Malwarebytes, Fernando is focused on developing the company’s worldwide market penetration through business development and expanded channel partnerships.

Fernando graduated from the Instituto Politécnico da Guarda in Portugal and Mikkeli University in Finland.
