Marcin Kleczynski
Chief Executive Officer

Marcin is a self-appointed anti-malware superhero. He came up with the original idea for Malwarebytes after seeing firsthand the sheer quantity of real-world malware that was easily getting past other security software's defenses.

Several years and millions of downloads later, Marcin’s vision of a safer Internet for all still lives strong. Armed with numerous security professionals under his belt, he leads Malwarebytes into the fight against malware each and every day.

Marcin attended the University of Illinois where he majored in computer science.

Marcus Chung
EVP, Chief Operating Officer

Marcus joined the Malwarebytes team with key experience in security, e-commerce, and business development. His expertise has helped propel the company into several strategic markets and emerge as an exciting security company to watch!

However, his passion for Internet security did not just start with Malwarebytes. Marcus spent his formative years in security with a start-up company called Sygate Technologies, which was eventually acquired by Symantec but only after establishing itself as a market leader in endpoint security. Marcus also honed his security "chops" while at GreenBorder Technologies, a groundbreaking virtualization and sandboxing company which was acquired by Google.

Marcus attended the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) where he majored in Psychology-Biology and developed a keen passion for computing while working in a Cardiovascular research lab.

Doug Swanson
VP of Development

Doug has hated malware since the day his browser was hijacked. Through his volunteer work in online anti-malware community support forums, he was introduced to Marcin and joined Malwarebytes full-time in 2008.

Since then he has made significant contributions to the company's flagship product, helping to architect and implement its scanning engine, database, and protection module. Today Doug manages Malwarebytes' development team, and continues to push the boundaries of real-world malware detection and removal technology.

Doug attended Yale University where he majored in physics.

Bruce Harrison
VP of Research

Bruce joined Malwarebytes after being recognized for his significant contributions to the Malwarebytes community. When asked to build a malware research team from the bottom up, he built the best one around.

Nowadays, Bruce manages several well known security experts in their everyday battle with malware. He continues to brainstorm ideas to improve scanning and removal technology for our flagship product and works closely with our development team.
